Summary/Abstract: The submitted contribution is devoted to infrequent comparison of two well-known religious thinkers of twentieth century – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Martin Buber. Between these two very different thinkers are many remarkable resemblances although there is no evidence of any historical association between them. The paper focuses on parallels between their understandings of person, particularly in the question of one’s becoming a person in the process of personalization.
