PROJECT : "ARCHIVAL PRACTICE" IN FUNCTION FOR EDUCATION OF PERSONNEL OF ARCHIVES

Summary/Abstract: Personnel are one of the main factors for success in every business and activities. So, in the archival activities success largely depends on the competence of archival personnel. The archival personnel are trained through various professional, scientific and practical action forms. Personnel of archives in Bosnia and Herzegovina are not educated in the regular education system, so this business includes various profile of experts , mostly teachers of history , language and lawyers. All of them are entering the field of archival activity with inadequate prior knowledge, so it is necessary with the adoption of additional knowledge to permanently and professionally upgraded their knowledge. This is particularly true in the case of archival personnel at registry offices. They are at these places usually set without any knowledge of archival issues. All this has a great influence on the destiny of archival material. For these reasons, the archives resort to various forms of training for personnel of archives. Archives of Tuzla Canton for many years implemented various professional educational content. The most important professional and educational content is the project "Archival Practice" , which lasts for 25 years. All of that had a positive impact on their professional qualifications, and thus the success of archive services.
