Summary/Abstract: The national flag of the country is one of the state symbols. Being one of the most widespread and important symbols that expresses the sovereignty of the state, it stands out as a hallmark in the international relations. The article considers the legal regulation of the national flag as a state symbol under the Tarnovo Constitution, the Constitutions of Bulgaria from 1947 and 1971 and the current Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria. The author discusses the relevant constitutional and legislative provisions that regulate this state symbol.
