Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the problem of informal work of the rural population with precarious income. Attention was drawn to her place in the main and additional sources of income. Article focuses on the reasons for taking up informal jobs, and factors affecting its adoption. It was noted that the causes of informal work are mainly economic in nature, and are related to the desire to obtain a higher income. Despite the financial aspects of taking advantage of the work “black”, drew attention to the lack of choice of some groups in the process of making this form of work, which results both for reasons attributable to the employee (education, low mobility) and the employers (the desire to reduce labor costs).
