Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses Poland’s foreign policy in 2014/2015. The main areas ofresearch are: Poland’s policy in the European Union, its bilateral relations withWestern European states and with its eastern neighbours, as well as its security policy. The crucial issue was Poland’s stance towards the war in Ukraine and its effortsto mobilize states and international institutions, mainly the EU and NATO, toproper reaction. Poland did not participate in international negotiations on the situationin Ukraine after June 2014. The deteriorating security environment showedthat Poland was not able to run ambitious extra-European policy and had to be focusedon regional issues.
