Summary/Abstract: The paper is structured into six integrated chapters. The first introductory chapter gives a general indication of the work and historiographical characteristics of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the second chapter are listed resume on historians and orientalists Dr. Adam Handzic. In the third chapter the published and unpublished sources, and relevant literature that the author used in his works. In the fourth chapter, which talks about the thematic classification of works of Adam Handzic, first elaborated by the authors on the process of acceptance and spread of Islam in Bosnia and confessional and demographic changes with the arrival of the Ottomans. Then these works that speak of the origin and development of urban settlements, mines and salt works, works that speak of the importance and role of Waqf, famous people and events, and other works. The fifth chapter discusses the characteristics of Adem Handzic’s work, such as methodology, scientific research opus, local historiography, the use of some specific lexical items, etc. In the sixth and final part of the paper, highlighted the contribution and importance of the scientific scope of this eminent scientist, as by historical science in general, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people.
