Biographical Accounts about Life in Emigration (On Materials from Bansko)

Summary/Abstract: The article is based on biographical interviews, which the author has taken the in town of Bansko in 1990-1994 from local people who had lived in the USA and Canada for а long time and had returned again to their home town. Reconstructions of the informants’ life histories in emigration are represented. Further on, it is discussed on how the emigrant, who had come back, is accepted by his family and the community, what was his impact on them, as well as how the life story, respectively the lightmotif interview, is constructed.
