Summary/Abstract: The article is a continuation of a comparative study of Bulgarian and Romanian Christmas carols, which has now been done according to the following criteria: melody, tempo, tonal range, form and manner of performance. Once again the results confirm the remarkable similarity between the Christmas carols of the two peoples and affirm the initial impression of resemblance, increasing it and leading one to the conviction that this is a case of one and the same custom rooted in a common ancient paganism but having a specific evolution through the ages on the basis of different geographic, ethnographic, socio-historical, linguistic, cultural and other local and situational conditions.
