Summary/Abstract: Our article examines Romanian writers Dănuț Ungureanu and Marian Truță's Science Fiction novel Vegetal (2014), aiming to track the features of its dystopic universe, in which metamorphosis of plants into sanguinary entities occurs. Starting with the analysis of the incipit, we focus on the relationship between men and their environment, stressing out its ambiguity, the parallelism between their actions to each other, as well as various particularities of this out of control state of the nature.
