Eco-innovations in the strategies of enterprises from “Aviation Valley” cluster

Summary/Abstract: Eco-innovations are one of the priorities to promote economic and ecological development at the same time in the current environmental policy of the European Union, in the new financial perspective 2014-2020. In a number of strategic documents creators emphasize the importance of eco-innovation for the local, regional, national and European development, while respecting the environment and its biodiversity, which eco-innovations are an effective tool for. Many of today’s industries, including the analyzed airline industry, perceive eco-innovations not only from the point of view of purely environmental benefits, but also economic ones. The aim of this qualitative study is to determine whether companies in the cluster “Aviation Valley” have eco-innovations in their strategies and how they deal with the absorption and diffusion of eco-innovation, and also what the examples are in each category of eco-innovation they create.
