Summary/Abstract: This study was conditioned by the congruence of more factors, such as the necessity of cataloguing and safeguarding the churches at which were endangered or had been affected by serious interventions in the original architecture, and also the covering of particular historiographical gaps in the study of religious architecture. The author’s attention was attracted by the following sections, such as: the detection and documentation of some churches, establishing of the precise construction date based on the stone inscription with the dedication of the church founders, identification, transliteration and translation of the occasional inscriptions; typology and architectural style of the church; changes (restoration and repairs) operated on architecture over the years, presence of the bell, conservation status, etc.. Many stone churches have bee documented in the Prut-Dniester territory during the last years, including the two one in the village Pohoarna, and the one in Cobâlnea, Şoldaneşti district.
