Short Description
Historical Researches (New series) is an annual scientific publication edited by Moldavia’s History Museum within „Moldova” National Museum Complex from Iași. The first issue was published in 1970. The publication carries on, by title, the memory of the homonymous journal published in Iași between 1925-1947, under the coordination of the historian and university professor Ilie Minea.
The first issues of the journal (published until 1983) included notes, studies and articles on archeology and history, as well as articles illustrating the scientific interests and concerns of the restorers and museum specialists from different fields: literature, art, ethnography or science and technology. After a period in which the publication of the journal was stopped due to the lack of funds (1984-1996), once the publication was resumed (since 1997), the articles included in the pages of the journal have been tackling exclusively topics in the field of history and auxiliary sciences.
