Summary/Abstract: The author recapitulates existing subjects and theories about the „Andreanic Charter” of 1224, surely the most important document for the beginnings of Transylvanian Saxons’ history which should be put up for a new discussion. The author is of the opinion that the issue of the charter was caused by the political instability in the times of King Andrew II.
