Summary/Abstract: One of key processess in today’s supply chain is a demand management process. It includes a sequence of activities from the identification of objectives and strategies by determining forecasting procedures, the flow of information, synchronization, emergency management, to the development of a system of indicators and measures that control the correctness of the whole process. To obtain accurate demand plans a transparent process of monitoring progress and evaluating the demand management is needed. Therefore, the question arises – whether at each stage, how and how often the demand management process in the contemporary supply chains is controlled? The goal of the paper is to identify the system of measurement and indicators used in controlling the stages of demand management process and the frequency of such an assessment. The conclusions of the study derive from the analysis of 270 supply chains in manufacturing and trade companies.
