Summary/Abstract: In the post-industrial society, human resources begin to be increasingly important, and the development of industry and technology has led to the need to increase personal skills and qualifications. This raised an increased importance of knowledge in the enterprise. Every day the term self-improvement is more and more important to managers. The purpose of this article is to answer the question: What conditions of self-improvement should an organization assure for managers to turn this process of learning into an added value to the organization? The analysis of content was shown and the way the process of manager’s self-education affected the organization was presented. What actions should be taken in order to properly perform the process? Self-education was shown as an element of the manager’s career path, implemented independently from the beginning to the end. This leads not only to the development of a manager, but also to the development of an organization.
