Summary/Abstract: The presented work is devoted to analysis of the impact of economic liberalization on the policies and condition of the countries and people and the global economic situation. Observing the contemporary economic situation, it can be concluded that the neo-liberals understand economic freedom as the situation when the state, on the one hand, uses the tools of production in the form of interventionism, preferences, privileges and special protection for the capital, and on the other hand, expands the area of restrictions on public and social policy. Realization of neoliberal policies revealed a contradiction between the macro-economic interests of the state and micro-economic interests of the company, which wants to minimize costs and flip the greatest part of them on the external environment and get as much as possible benefits and privileges from the state, strengthening in that way its competitive position. Through the release of international businesses from the constraints imposed earlier by the State and introduction of floating exchange rates and free flow of goods, services and capital, created the conditions for getting rich without any traditional economic activities (for example: the currency speculation and using of the intangible assets of the company) and the creation of a growing number of so-called 'speculative bubbles'. As a result of the crisis that started in 2008, it was noted that the market is not a panacea for all the problems and is not as free as it expected; a huge concentration of wealth and power causes many asymmetries and may even jeopardize its functioning.
