Three sector partnership as a source of local social capital

Summary/Abstract: Currently on a specific territory of the social system an important source of social capital is partnership formed among the representatives of the economic, public and social life sectors. Creating the conditions for good three-sector cooperation contributes to strengthening local initiatives and integration among local leaders. The aim of the research article is to present the issues and conceptual scope of the partnership, as well as to determine the benefits of the three-sector cooperation. The study was conducted in the eastern part of the Bory Dolnośląskie in the years 2008-14. In this area there were identified potential partners for the three-sector cooperation, set out the strengths and weaknesses of individual sectors and determined the advantages resulting from the cooperation of partners. The result of building of the three sector partnership as a source of local social capital was the improvement of the quality of life of residents in the study area.
