Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the concept of the determinants of the primary selection of organizational routines with attention which was paid to endogenous mechanisms – the endogenous determinants of primary selection were identified. Consequently, the research gap and perspectives were established. The following research questions were asked: do behavioural and cultural intrafactors have microinertial or microorientating influence on the character of organizational routines? and whether and how are behavioural and cultural mechanisms exemplified with the speed of adjusting the organization to changes (adaptativeness), with the originality of organizational-managerial-strategic solutions and with the uniqness of the organization contributing to enhance competitiveness. The determinants of primary selection were distinguished: behavioural intrafactors (so called managerial selection): attitudes – routines, managerial intention and cultural intrafactors – so called cultural selection. The paper is theoretical and the methods that have been used are literature studies and authors’ considerations.
