Summary/Abstract: Both men and women are often ashamed of their anger, although it appears they may experience their anger differently. Gender socialization can affect how men and women handle their anger. At the same time they behave differently in the conflict situations. Anger and behavior in the conflict situation was investigated by Thomas conflict test and Buss and Durkee anger test. We investigated 200 pupils of Marijampole. Results achieved: the bigest part of pupils expressed constructive way of conflict solution, boys were disposed to solve conflicts in the way of competition, they used to show their anger physically, all pupils (girls and boys) scored higher on verbal agression. While differences in boys and girls total anger scores were not significant, we found differences in the way they experience anger. Girls used indirect aggression, but girls - constructive solving conflicts - are more aggressive in total then other girls. Angry episodes helped strengthen to express themselves and to strengthen relationships in cooperation when they found themselves in the situation of conflict.
