Summary/Abstract: A family as a base of society and state attracts considerable attention of political institutions, science representatives and educators. Decisions such as to support a family, provide financial support, improve socialization of children and upbringing encourage opposition, long and absurd debate. The interpretation of this phenomenon in textbooks obviously lacks analytical verdicts and methodological justification. Discussions about the national conception of family politics are a perfect illustration of this. The article describes a philosophical conception of a family: a family is parents and children, husband (father) and wife‘s (mother‘s) parenthood based on love and responsibility which determines proper correspondence between roles and functions in a family. Empirical data testify already formed stereotypes of roles in a family. A created text serves as a recommendation of applied philosophy that could be used by other projectors of education content and the authors of the textbooks such as („Family Ethics“ and etc.). The knowledge of philosophy and its integration while taking important decisions could mean higher level of social politics of a family and education.
