Summary/Abstract: The article investigates a scientific pedagogical heritage of A. Grabauskienė who is a scientist of education sciences and also an associated professor of Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. She was an active person during the period when the priorities of education where still in the process of change. Nevertheless, a strong intention was always alive – to solve the main idea of education – to educate an individual. Various ideas of this scientist are still relevant today. According to A. Grabauskienė, the problems which education meets with today are: a nihilistic attitude towards classics, difficulties of value education and different interpretations of the concept of education itself. The scientist perceives such an educator as a creator who is a positive example for the ones who are being educated as well as an initiator interacting between family and institution.
