Summary/Abstract: It is not difficult to render a concise definition of modern lyrics. The traditional lyrics is characterized by expression of events thus far experienced and of the spiritual mood of the lyrical unit, hence it is called realistic. The idea of the existence of structure of modern lyrics was not fully confirmed. The modern lyrics in its historical emergence as opposed to the realistic lyrics establishes the poetry of tëhuajsimit. Tëhuajsimi in modern lyrics can be thought of as inter-literary innovation, which stands as distanced from the conventions of realistic presentation, as a summary concept for any non-realistic experience and even anti-realistic ones, which every time accomplishes the function of rendering "foreign” the way of perception and rendering of the world, which is made commonplace by pre-modernist tradition. In the area of figures absolute metaphor is especially characteristic of modern poetry. The origins of modern lyrics in our literature have been sought out in the publications appearing in the '30s and in light of the characterizations that have made of it in the broader Western literature, it turns out that in the Albanian poetry the modern lyrics appears for the first time in a full and systematic manner in the volume “My century” (1961) by Ismail Kadare. The poet of absolute metaphor possesses a "dictatorial fantasy", the speaking subject commands an all-powerful word, "which does not take its content as off-theshelf, but wants to produce it itself. Being redeemed, metaphors are detached from real data and return to the "unlimited imagination of the modern poet". After these attempts at definitions, the paper continues with the concrete treatment of typologies of absolute metaphors ("sometimes the flour turns black/ sometimes the uneasiness dawns), sinestezitë, elements of influence from futuristic poetry, etc. surrealists. The most interesting example of the emergence of disorder in all senses in the volume “ My century” is the poetry structure: "Come out to this side of the sea and behold the lasting sound of the waves/ /Hear this sky-blueness, this faint trot of stars." It is argued that the political or ideological perspective of the poet does not affect the determination of the essential poetry qualities of modern lyrics. By taking such a step, Kadare with his poetry of that time has posed a stiff challenge to the socialist realism in the plane of poetry means.
