Summary/Abstract: Since the beginning of the 21st century we have noticed an increased flow of Direct Foreign Investments to India. The value of DFI increased from 3.56 mld USD in 1998 to 29 mld USD in 2008 and it still shows the growing tendency. We can find the reasons for such a dynamic growth of foreign investments in a number of factors, such as the dynamic economic development of the state, political stability in the region and an increasing number of richer and richer consumers, who guarantee a ready market for goods, low costs of employment of highly qualified workforce, as well as favourable economic-legal conditions secured by the government for this type of investment. Services belong to the sectors of highest DFI flow, but also software and computer hardware as well as building.
