Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some aspects of the green colour and the associations it evokes. It examines the projections of the colour regarding nature, medicine, transport, phraseology. Special attention is paid to the religion of Islam as green has a symbolic meaning there. The used materials are mainly from English and Bulgarian.
