Our Lady’s herbs and legends about them in Slavonic traditional culture

Summary/Abstract: The article analyses refl ections of the Biblical code in the plant code of traditional Slavonic culture. There exist: 1) the language level (using Our Lady’s name in phytonyms); 2) the folklore level (aetiological stories about the genesis of plants with her help); and 3) the level of ritual (using plants according to their imagined properties).
