Summary/Abstract: The article defines the appellative advertisements, identifies the possible sentence types used in them and proposes a new terminology for five out of the eight sentence types. The corpus comprises eighteen advertisements; two of them analysed in detail in the present article. Finally, the collected data is summarized and conclusions are drawn.
