Summary/Abstract: The article treats of Gadamer’s hermeneutical conception of cognition and one of the most interesting its prerequisites – its dialogical nature. It researches the particularity of the epistemological structure of hermeneutical understanding, analyses beginnings of the relation epistemology in Heidegger’s philosophy. Hermeneutical conception of object that is being examined reveals ontological core of Gadamer’s hermeneutics in the basis of which principle of dialogue emerges as the ontological premise of all hermeneutical epistemological notions. Implications of the ontology of person are being detected in Gadamer’s hermeneutics.
