Postmodernity and the renewal of theology

Summary/Abstract: In the article the conflict situation between (natural) sciences and humanities is surveyed with suspicion that influential scholarly parties (that of Lithuania basically under the influence of their Western associates) are rein in scientistic ideology. Scientism’s influence reaches not only the general public but even domains of theology where theologians like C. Kavaliauskas, seeking for a closer contact with modern secular society, uncritically and possibly undesignedly absorb some faulty scientistic ideas that must be under scrutiny of postmodern thinking.
