Summary/Abstract: The theorectical laxity of the socio-constructivist approach has always backfired lots of negative censorship. It was all too often considered that, in the attempt of creating new attractive hubs of discussion and orientation in the study of International Relations, the socio-constructivists do not encourage the use of active techniques, but rather stir revolutionary reflections without a pre-existent conceptualising of their practice and methods. This alleged absensce will consequently discard the analysis’ substance and relevancy. In this article, I will try to elaborate upon the fact that like in other schools of thought, in socio-constructivism there is no doctrinary consensus upon the dimensions of the process of concept selection. This aim will be adressed by unveiling the different significance attached to the concepts of identity and interaction.
