Summary/Abstract: The present study scrutinizes the manner in which the United Nations are organized, here including a careful analysis of the UN Charta and its essence. Essential for us is underlining the evolution of this very important, but yet very inefficient international organization and the great decisions taken by the Security Council, especially during the Cold War and during the last twenty years of American hegemony. Further on, we are also interested in the UN (and Security Council’s) reform projects, seen in the new context of globalization and international terrorism. And last but not least we also aim at showing how precisely the American security strategy influences the entire world.
