Summary/Abstract: It is a survey of Romanian bibliography of the subject at which the author add some unpublished documents from the Securitate Archives and his considerations about them, as well as about the officially statements of the times. The conclusion is offered by underlining the absolute contrast between the communist regime propaganda, inclusively in her religious aspects, and the truly feelings and wishes of the simples citizens, what prove the great unpopularity of the “people’s Father” and of stalinist system in Romania and the radical cleavage between Nomenklatura (even the Orthodox Church hierarchy) and the majority of the nation, mirrored also in the metamorphosis of the cult of the leader during all the communist age.
