Summary/Abstract: The constructivist approach emphasizes that there is no absolute truth. In the Czech education is unfortunately experiencing a phenomenon that all information obtained by the pupils as definitive. There is memorizing definitions, indicating the possibility of memorization, but does not show the logical thinking of pupils and connecting knowledge and skills to real life. Constructivism allows learning organizations based on ideas and gaining experience. Constructivist theory in the real education is reflected Inquiry Based Science Education where pupils have to solve problems. The paper demonstrates the outline of promoting science and technical subjects at the University of Ostrava using measuring sets, robot kits and other equipment by project “Okna vědy dokořán”.
