Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on modern history of the Czech theatre and presents a micro historic view of Olomouc Studium Forum activities in the seventieth and eightieth of the 20th century. An example of two performances – Kennedy’s Children and When Hašler Is Bowing over Prague – provides the importance of the oppositional theatrical train of thought which was represented by the Studio Forum that used non-traditional and anti-official dramatic art plots and that overstepped traditional established convention in staging. Analysis of both performances including audience responses proves a specific function of creative alternative which the Studio Forum fulfilled in the region of northern Moravia.
