Summary/Abstract: The research conducted in the Lower Silesian town of Czerniawa-Zdrój indicated the degree in which the development of the spa resort is influenced by its natural determinants. These predominantly include: climate, mineral waters, peloids, curative gas, landscape, green complexes, Natura 2000 areas. Currently, Czerniawa-Zdrój spa is a district of Świeradów- -Zdrój. Due to their natural and landscape values, the legally protected areas located within the spa resort or in its vicinity are important for the spa’s condition. They guarantee the high quality of the natural environment, which is also a substantial factor in the matter.
