Summary/Abstract: An ample study about the USA as seen from the perspective of both Western and Eastern Europe. The author point out the reasons why, on the one hand, some Western countries are worried about US supremacy, while, on the other hand, the Eastern European countries, despite their differentiated images of the great power overseas, manifest a friendly attitude towards the USA.
