Summary/Abstract: The article covers campaign launched by "Seljačka sloga" organization that attempted to improve the level of medical education among rural women. The aim of the campaign was to lower the rate of infant mortality and to improve the care for their health. The article analyzes the medical as well as ideological background of the campaign, its course and results.
