EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION IN IBN CHALDUN’S SOCIO-POLITICAL THOUGHT

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to describe the perception of the European civilization in the socio-political thought of Ibn Khaldun. In the introduction, the author presents his intellectual biography, methodology as well as his contribution to the development of humanistic sciences, and the knowledge of culture texts from the ancient and medieval history of Europe. Next, the article shows scale of using the scientific terminology of Ibn Khaldun to the description of European civilization. Finally, the text characterizes opinions of Ibn Khaldun about the European economy and the image of Christian culture.
