Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to describe the reception of Darwinism in Poland between 1886 and 1894. The invastigation of the attitudes of Warsaw inhabitants, especially of inteligentsia, was based on articles published in "The Voice". The editors, Józef Karol Potocki and Jan Ludwik Popławski, were the leaders of public opinion.
