Summary/Abstract: he article analyses the relations between the level of intellectual abilities of children belonging to ethnic minorities living in Lithuania and different con¬text in their education. Scientific materials published by Lithuanian and foreign researchers refer to few studies detailing the relationship between the educational con¬text of minority children and cognitive maturity of chil¬dren. The Draw-A-Person: Quantitative Scoring Sys¬tem developed by Naglieri (1988) was used to assess the level of intellectual abilities of 133 Jewish, Byelorussian, Lithuanian and Roma children aged 6 to 14. The results have shown that the scores of the level of intellectual abilities of the first three groups of children have no statistically significant differences in between and are assessed as average. The level of intellectual abilities of the Roma children is significantly lower than that of other studied children and belongs to the interval of lower than average level.
