Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a new approach with an application of fuzzy set theory ele¬ments in a service quality measurement. Graphical presentations and membership functions of fuzzy numbers which are the most often applied in service quality surveys were indicated. The paper presents also a short review of selected world surveys in service quality research with applications of fuzzy numbers. Examples of basic arithmetic operations on fuzzy num¬bers are included.
