Summary/Abstract: The article aims to present an overview of the endeavours of the resistance groups against the Italian and the German invaders in Albania and Greece to include the Greek minority. All of them tried to have the Greek minority on their side in their resistance against the invaders although for different reasons. For the Albanian resistance groups the inclusion of the Greek minority had special importance because they were Albanian citizens as well as an integral part of the Albanian state. For the Greek ones the resistance of the Greek minority would have been precondition to secure the right of selfdetermination. This would have secured the support of future Allies in the United Nations for the Greek claims toward the “Northern Epirus”. The republican forces of EDES were the first to make the efforts to include the Greek minority in the resistance against the invader. However, the National Liberation Front helped by Greek EAM was successful in engaging the Greek minority against the invader. The reason should be found on the internationalist agreements of the two resistance groups of the left wing in Albania and in Greece. The right wing groups of resistance made efforts to achieve an agreement between them. But they were obstructed by the Greek territorial claims toward Albania.
