Summary/Abstract: The crown of St. Anselm’s moral system is love. When reason knows and remembers a true good, and the good is reached by the will, human being starts loving it. Through the reason one finds, desires and loves the Supreme Good. Although the Supreme Good can not be entirely known by human being in the earthly life, it does not exclude the love of God and the striving after Him. The strivig of the rational being after happiness and justice comes from the ontological structure of human being in Anselmian system of morality. This structure reproduces the order established by God in the act of creation. Th e necessity of keeping this God’s order additionally amplifies ‘should’, which comes from being (esse) of the thing. Therefore, the ontological-theological system of morality of St. Anselm results from the order of the Absolute and created rational being and from the order of the good, which are equal and recognizable for human reason.
