Summary/Abstract: This work is part of “The essence of war and the face of peace in contemporary thinking” and investigates the place of Czech thinker Patochka in the new ontological constellation of our times. His opinion of “the positive potential and the deep existential impact of the front-line experience” is the central thesis in his remarkable work “The wars of XX c. and XX c. as a war”. Patochka’s article is presented in my work as part of some publications expressing the new ontological constellation concerning war and peace, personality and being, written by eminent authors like Heidegger, Levinas, V. Lossky and Jean Baudrillard.
