Care for Father Marijan Šunjić's National Education

Summary/Abstract: father Marijan Šunjić, a wise “uncle” and exemplary bishop, polyglot and diplomat, an exceptional organizer and leader, working persistently and continuously in a national- revival spirit, especially in the operating communication with the leaders of cultural and religious life from C croatia, especially with bishop Strossmayer, will be remembered as a great builder of spiritual and material good in Bosnia in the middle of the 19th century. Except working in cultural and religious area, he gave exquisite contributions for building monasteries, churches and especially schools, untiringly collecting alms and organizing actions of christians’ voluntary work. His work is in fact the basis for national education.
