Financial sector and social capital

Summary/Abstract: The increased interest in social capital is accounted for by the understanding of the essence of its significance in society and economy. At the same time the lack of a precise definition prevents the evaluation of the amount and dynamics of changes in social capital. It is indisputable, however, that this rare resource is wasted by the financial sector. Over the last decades, institutions of social trust, which are based on confidence, have destroyed the resources of this capital by their unlimited greed.
