Summary/Abstract: The article examines one of the acts of the motif of trial in a form of a competition in stories about animals. The sly character is attacked by the stronger one, but more stupid enemy. The assailant is sure of his success in the beginning and that is why he does not hide his pretensions. The demonstrated indifference towards his own “mischief” is the only right way for eventual redeem of the assault. The victim puts his trap, behaving like a stupid. He puts the aggressor to an oral treatment. Two points of view take part in the contest – from one aspect and from other aspect in adopting the world. Wins the second. Outgrows the limited parable consciousness. The parable-parody shows the back side of the parable-moral axiom. “The overturn” has taken place on a mythological level, when the totem myths, connected with the ritual and logical formula are transformed into stories-parodies, denying the preached didactics of the stories panegyric of the totem (with the function of a parable). Just this “overturn” explains the analogy to the behaviour of the stronger aggressor and it defines the laughing mechanism of the examined stories. The points of intersection looked for a “turned” correlation between the functions and the characters results in the examined type of stories about animals. The conclusions point out to generic transforms, which help the formation of new generic structures.
