Summary/Abstract: This study deals with the interpretation of memorialistic paragraphs within Hebraic books printed in Seini (Maramures County) at the printing house of Jacov Wieder, founded in 1897 and in use till 1944. In this period of time over 120 books were printed, signed by authors from Europe, Israel and United States. At the beginning of those books private information of the owner, announcements, biographical data of the authors, genealogies, short history of the community, personal and public events, messages and quotations establish relationships between personal, local and public history. Those pages have to be regarded not only as personal story/stories but History. Among them, genealogies, biographies, individual/ family life stories, history of Hebrew community offer information about the tensions between communism and Mosaic religion and also give details about the evolution of Jewish community. Nevertheless, these books also have a great role in connecting people of the same religion and in keeping and consolidating the Jewish tradition.
