Summary/Abstract: In her paper author tryes to review scientific Belorussian-Slovak linguistic connection in their early evolution. Special attention is paid to comparative Belorussian-Slovak studies in papers of East-Slavonic linguists of 19th century bacause it was the time when Belorussian and Slovak‚ so-called „young literary languages“‚ were not considered equal in rights with European literary languages‚ and usage of Belorrusian and Slovak linguistic material and its comparison was very progressive and somehow revolutionary phenomenon.
