Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is an attempt to sum up 20 years of experience of this initiative in Europe. Euroregions are treated as a form of deepening European integration. The Neisse Euroregion is the first such an initiative in this part of Europe, starting social and political changes in the early 90s.The article shows the most important achievements of ERN and contains the evaluation of realization of the Euroregion’s development objectives. On basis of this evaluation, the prospects of future development of ERN were pointed out.
