Summary/Abstract: The article concerns stimulating of local entrepreneurship on the local scale. The author analyzed Polish-German borderland and the activity of 21 business environment institutions on this area understood as an economic area. These are both Polish and German institutions, 6 of which create so-called the test sample of analysis. The article shows institutional and organizational changes that occur on this border area in the field of stimulating of local entrepreneurship. In the final part an assessment of studied phenomenon is conducted and conclusions areformulated.
